Session 4:1 Sales (1)

The sales page allows a user make sales of the products created on the manage products page. Users can make cash and credit sales;

1. Click on sales

2. Click on new sale

3. Click on "new sale" located at the mid-top of the page( Click yes on the dialog box that pops-up)

4. Search and click on the product you wish to sell in the search box located at the top left or click use a barcode scanner to use a barcode scanner, verify the quantity and rate, click on "Add Item" ( you can add multiple items in an order)

5. Click on "POST" to generate a receipt of sale

6. Click on "New Sale" to add a new order.

Making a Credit Sale;

1. Click on "New Sale"

2. Pick the customers name

3. Search and click on the product you wish to sell in the search box located at the top left or click use a barcode scanner to use a barcode scanner, verify the quantity and rate, click on "Add Item" ( you can add multiple items in an order)

4. Change "Amount Tendered" to the exact amount the customer is paying

5. Click on "POST" ( a receipt will be generated showing the value of the transaction, the amount paid, the balance left for that particular transaction and  the cumulative balance for that customer)

Note: Making a credit sale should be to a customer to ease tracking of their records.


Activity

1.Users must be able to make 10 cash sales to both customers and anonymous 2. Users must be able to make 5 credit sales to customers
