Session 4 - Accounting

The accounting module helps you track your cash flow. It cover income, expenses and several other accounting tools.

Account summary: The Accounting module helps you to check your account summary via the account summary sub-module. You can check your daily, monthly as well as yearly summary. The following steps apply to checking your account summary;

  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Dashboard'.
  4. Click on the particular account summary you wish to view.

Income: This sub-module enables you to enter all you company/business income. The following steps apply to creating Income;

  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Income'.
  4. Click on 'New Income'.
  5. Fill all fields appropriately then click 'Create'.
Delete all Income: This action allows you to delete all income already created. The following steps apply to deleting income;
  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Income'.
  4. Click on 'Delete All'.
  5. Confirm action by clicking on 'ok'.

Expenses:This sub-module enables you to enter all you company/business expenses. The following steps apply to creating expense;

  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Expenses'.
  4. Click on 'New Expense'.
  5. Fill all fields appropriately then click 'Create'.
Delete all Expenses: This action allows you to delete all income already created. The following steps apply to deleting income;
  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'expenses'.
  4. Click on 'Delete All'.
  5. Confirm action by clicking on 'ok'.
Purchases:  This sub-module allows you to view all your purchase orders you have sent to your vendors.

View Purchase Orders: The following steps apply to viewing purchase orders;

  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Purchases'.

Note: The 'S' and 'P' at  the end of the  purchase order row simply means supplied and paid respectively.

when the 'S' is coloured red it means the items on the invoice have not yet been supplied, when it is coloured green it means the items have been supplied. This same rule applies for the letter 'P'.

Pay for an Invoice:  The following steps apply to paying for an Purchase Order:

  1.  Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Purchases'.
  4. Search for the purchase order and click on the Ref.Number.
  5. Fill all fields appropriately as shown in the 'Sell' sub-module then click on 'ok'.

To Supply items on the Purchase Order: The following steps apply to supplying of items on a Purchase Order.

  1.  Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Purchases'.
  4. Search for the purchase order and click on the Ref.Number.
  5. Click on the 'Not Supplied, Pay Now' button at the top of the page, this will automatically supply the items.

Insights: This sub-module gives is a pie chat of different aspects of your business.  It gives you insight on where you are earning the most, where you are spending more and several others. The following steps apply to viewing you insights.

  1. Logon to www.swift.ng.
  2. Click on 'Accounting'.
  3. Click on 'Insights'.
